Doug Kaye and I went exploring in San Francisco today – meeting, as usual, around Embarcadero Center and then heading out. We caught the 1 California bus on Sacramento St. and headed up to Portsmouth Square in Chinatown. Lots of interesting people – as usual – playing games and smoking in the park. From there. we began exploring the alleys of Chinatown – having figured out that the sun this time of year would be coming right down the alleys around noontime. We got intoxicated in one alley in particular – images from that venue yet to be processed!
After a wonderful lunch as usual at Slanted Door, we headed home. As I descended into the Embarcadero BART Station, I saw this woman reading on the platform – just as the BART train was leaving. My iPhone 6 captured the shot – with just enough motion and color to make it interesting against her silhouette.
Another magical day of street photography in San Francisco!
