Random Mac Notes

I’ve spent most of today using my 14″ iBook to do various chores. I use it (via RDC) to remotely operate my Sony Vaio Windows XP box — via 802.11 and an Airport base station. I can readily switch between my Windows XP environment (running on its own separate computer) and the iBook. Much of my iBook time has been spent loading up some iTunes from various CD’s around the house and browsing the web using the latest Safari browser announced at MacWorld last week. Sweet.

I was just about out of battery power so I came back to the office to plug in — and noticed that the iBook menu bar power display was counting down. Turns out when you’re charging, it shows the time (or percent) to full charge — and when you’re on battery just the reverse — time to empty. Makes sense, it’s logical, just what you’d expect from a Mac!
