Yesterday, Microsoft announced was putting Passport Manager source code under its Shared Source Initiative. It also demonstrated a “password quality meter” intended to help users set stronger user passwords.
Given the venue and the speaker (Microsoft Senior VP Craig Mundie), this certainly seems like weak pair of announcements. Leaves me with that “is that all there is?” feeling.
