I can’t remember how I came up with this routine, but every time I do it I’m reminded just how perfect it is for helping me stay refreshed.
It’s a simple, three step process:
- Wash my hands – some nice soap helps – but, then, also wash my face.
- Slowly, take 5-10 deep breaths – filling the bottom of my lungs as completely as I can.
- Go for a walk around the building and get some fresh air into those rejuvenated lungs.
Ideally, I do this several times each day at work and in the evening (usually just once) at home.
It works wonders for my attitude, slows me back down, clears my mind and brings me back into the moment.
