Probably the best investment book I’ve ever read is the new book from Dick Davis titled appropriately The Dick Davis Dividend: Straight Talk on Making Money from 40 Years on Wall Street.
The 79-year old Davis has had a long career as an observer of the best investors – from a number of different vantage points. He writes with conviction about all that he’s learned over the years – and the book is truly a tour de force.
It helps that I’m personally a fan of his most fundamental recommendation – an 80/20 split between index funds and actively managed investments. Dick’s detailed treatment of the ins and outs of both strategies is a real delight to read.
Highly recommended!
PS: My only complaint? The publisher, Wiley, hasn’t made this book available in electronic form for the Amazon Kindle!
