Stephen Dunphy of the Seattle Times is one of the business columnists that I’ve enjoyed reading for the last few years since newpapers became available online. I’ve enjoyed his columns with their insights and also his personal style of writing.
In a detailed story in today’s edition, Michael Fancer, executive editor of the Seattle Times, discusses Dunphy’s resignation on Friday from the Times “after acknowledging that he has plagiarized the work of other journalists.” Dunphy worked for the Times for 37 years. It’s a sad story indeed. Having now owned up to the issue, I hope he’s able to somehow continue his work in some other venue.
