Apple’s Half Note?

Evan Hansen comments on Apple’s iTunes Music Store. Great commentary. I agree with a lot of Evan’s comments — particularly the parts about how the user feedback/reviews could be improved (there aren’t any now!). I also think the link to other titles can be significantly enhanced — for example, there’s no ability to see the composer of a track and quickly link to other titles by that composer.

Separately, in a research note released today, Morgan Stanley analyst Rebecca Runkle noted that Apple’s market capitalization has increased by about $1.1 billion since the launch of the iTunes Music Store. Whether that increase is justified by the earnings potential of the Store remains open to question — and a lot of the answer to that question has to do with the timing of a Windows version.
