Robert Cringely suggests a new anti-spam approach which would involve centralized message screening coupled with a payment option.
I’m reminded also of Ray Ozzie’s notion of replacing email with Groove messenging and thereby avoiding spam. Ozzie seems to already live in that world. We use Groove extensively for file sharing — but haven’t embraced the messenging capabilities. We still seem to live in our email in-boxes.
