Looks like Apple isn’t perfect either — Doc’s going to have to spend the day diagnosing/fixing his Mac laptop just as I did with my Windows XP laptop yesterday!

The disk subsystems of today’s personal computers are their Achilles’ heel. They’re the primary performance inhibitor (mine grinds away endlessly while I’m waiting for results) and their reliability (in combination with today’s operating system software) leaves a LOT of be desired. Bring back bubble memory — or some other much faster, more reliable mass storage mechanism!
