Columbus Ohio Library using RFID tags for books

A report on overage usage of the Columbus (Ohio) Metropolitan Library mentions their use of RFID technology.

A number of technological enhancements are being researched for this purpose. Among them are enhancements to self-serve check-out stations and the introduction of RFID technology, which allows multiple items to be checked in/out simultaneously, freeing up staff to work on other projects.
