No, these aren’t financial portfolios — they’re talking about personal portfolios, the resume of the future.

It’s doubtful that Web portfolios will replace résumés or job applications entirely, particularly in fields with hourly wage workers, but advocates predict they’ll eventually become the dominant way for job seekers to market themselves. “Today you are conspicuous if you have (an electronic portfolio),” says Straits of Corporate Warriors. “Three years from today, you will be conspicuous if you don’t have it.”
