Uncategorized Goldman sees IT gloom continuing

Tom Foremski reports on a new report issued today by Goldman Sachs that concludes that US corporate IT spending won’t begin to increase until the second half of 2003 at the earliest.

“With increasing concern surrounding further macroeconomic stagnation heading into 2003, the only thing that seems certain is that management will continue to keep tight clamps on IT spending,” said Goldman analysts in the IT Spending Survey research note.
