Tim O’Reilly sent Nathan to Digital ID World to see who and what was hot in the field of digital identity.
So, to conclude, this could be one of those things that becomes real big (e.g., the web). Or it could be one of those things that fizzles (e.g., push). Or it could be one of those things that has substance but which is overpromised (e.g., web services). I don’t know which it is.
Too bad Nathan didn’t attend my partner Carol Coye Benson’s presentation on business models for identity! I suspect Carol’s “reality check” on digital identity business models might have helped clarify things!
