Lots of money being spent on credit card advertising during tonight’s game. The big spenders are MasterCard (from their priceless series) and BankOne (with a new “choose your card” theme).
I always marvel at that ad insertion technology used on televised games these days. You know, that banner ad a bit to the left and behind home plate? It’s a virtual banner — that can be changed on a whim (or, rather, for $$$). It’s not used in some of the replays — you see just a green pad instead of an ad. Clearly, some remaining technical work to be done!
