Stewart Alsop makes a prediction that CDMA will win over GSM. I’ve felt that way ever since my initial exposure to CDMA at Qualcomm over 10 years ago!
Like Alsop, I’ve found CDMA just worked better. I also have another reason for having avoided a GSM phone for the last 10 years — I just don’t like the idea of a microwave transmitter being rapidly switched on/off right next to my brain(32K times/second as I recall per the GSM/TDMA specs). There have been/will be endless arguments about whether there are any real negative effects from that — but why take the chance?
