It’s a beautiful morning here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This time of year is the best in the Bay Area — September and October tend to be the warmest as the cycle of summer fog begins to break.
I recently read an excellent book that describes the Bay Area weather in considerable detail: Weather of the San Francisco Bay Region by Harold Gilliam. It’s a fun, quick read and explains a lot about the microclimates in the area. As someone said recently, the best thing about weather in San Francisco is you can almost pick your perfect temperature. Too cold? Go to Walnut Creek. To hot? Go to Half Moon Bay.
