“Userland Software” has released a beta of a new instant messenging interface between Radio Userland and AOL IM or Jabber (other interfaces are likely to follow). Using this tool, one can “chat” (or a remote computer can “chat”) with a copy of Radio Userland on another system — enabling basic query/response applications. One application, in particular, is quite interesting (but not yet fully developed for this interface): instant outlining — allowing users to share visibility of an outline.
