WSJ: Walt Mossberg reviews the Nokia 9290

Walter Mossberg continues to like the Handspring Treo — and doesn’t like the new Nokia 9290.

Unlike the Treo, the 9290 doesn’t fit in a shirt pocket and isn’t even a comfortable fit in a pants pocket or a small purse. It’s 60% heavier, 45% longer and 25% thicker than the Treo, though 20% narrower.

So, if you’re going to use the Nokia 9290, it’s best to think of it as a little laptop that you dig out of a briefcase or large purse, rather than as a phone you keep close at hand.
