This article provides a comparison of the web services architecture “stacks” of WebServices.org and IBM.
“Of course, the promise of truly interoperable Web services dictates that various architectural standards will become more similar over time. Whatever ultimately emerges from the standards organizations and vendor extensions will probably follow the basic constructions of service negotiation, data transmission, and a final phase of business logic, as illustrated by our two examples.”
