Amateur Radio Hits the Big Screen (Again) in New Imax Film

It’s good to see ham radio playing such an integrated role in NASA’s activities. When I was growing up, we didn’t have computers so kids like me who wanted to play with things often ended up going into ham radio. It’s such a great hobby — but it’s been eclipsed by computers and the Internet for many kids.

The film is being premiered on Friday at the newly refurbished National Air and Space Museum. We lived in the Washington, DC area in 1976 when the museum first opened — and have very fond memories of many, many visits!
