“Joel Spolsky” has a story about Fog Creek Software’s plans for Microsoft .NET. Speaking of .NET, I had to re-install Visual Studio .NET yesterday after getting a fatal error message on startup. What a giant pain the whole process was — Microsoft really needs to figure out how to make its installations much more efficient and less time consuming. Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect comes on 4 CD-ROMS and took almost two hours of elapsed time to re-install.
