I’m back on the east coast for some business this week. Tonight, just east of Dulles Airport outside of Washington, DC, I got caught in my rental car in one of the biggest, wettest, noisest, windiest thunderstorms that I’ve seen in years — since growing up in Ohio where these were a pretty regular occurence!
I’m now largely a Bay Area kid — and we hardly ever see these kinds of storms showing off Mother Nature’s fury. Wipers on maximum speed, driving slow through the big pools of water along the roads, just at twilight. Wow! And, then, so quickly it’s over.
